    Go Ladakh

    Experience some of the most exhilarating Mountain passes and Highest Motorable Roads in the World. “Go Boundless Himalayan Drive” is an organised driving excursion starting from Manali on 16th of June, 2019 and moving through Jispa, Sarchu, Pang, Leh, Lamarayu, Nubra, Pangong Tso, Tso Kar, before culminating in Manali on the 26th June, 2019.

    The route has been carefully planned to provide an unforgettable motoring experience, with relaxed driving and adequate breaks. The drive allows gradual acclimatization while crossing some of the world's highest motorable mountain passes; long stretches of the cold desert and deep gorges of the Beas, Chandra & Indus Rivers.

    “Go Boundless Himalayan Drive” is a fun expedition where participants will drive together in a group following convoy rules. All vehicles will start together every morning and end the day at the same night halt. Adequate halts will be planned in between to take pictures, eat food, and enjoy the holiday!

     

    Go Boundless will take care of all details including:

    • Planning the route and itinerary to include the “must see” sights

    • Local guidance and support from experts

    Travel Time-5-6Hours.

    Total Distance- 140Kms.

    Average Altitude- 10500 Feet. (3200Meters)

    From Manali we will leave early morning at 5.00 am, Crossing Rohtang is always been a challenge and due to heavy tourist season we will try crossing Rohatang at early hours.

    We drive across the Rohtang pass to Jispa, a small village on the banks of Bhaga River (a tributary of Chenab) in Lahaul region. This is the best place to acclimatization yourself to high altitude. On our way to Jispa, we will be refuelling at Tandi which is the last fuel station before Leh. Since we are taking all off-road routs we need to carry fuel with us.

    The overnight stay will be at the Hotel, located on the banks of the Bhaga.

    JISPA is the ideal place for overnight stay to acclimatizes your body to get used to the high attitude. Jispa is an oasis of tranquillity is situated at the height of 10,890 feet and is around 140 Kms from Manali...

    Travel Time-10-12Hours.

    It's going to be a long day and we will leave early morning. The road beyond Jispa follows the picturesque Bhaga river across Baralacha La pass and Sarchu. Sarchu is on the Himachal Pradesh‐Jammu & Kashmir border. Enroute to Sarchu we will pass the Surajtal Lake. We will cross Zanskar range and Climb‐up the Gatta Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends carved into the mountainside and then pass Lachung La and Nakee La passes, Pang & More plains and the Tanglang La pass as well. Reach Leh late in the evening and rest.

    Leh local cultural tour

    After breakfast Explore the city. Sightseeing is always an individual’s choice, some wants to go for river rafting and some wants to explore monasteries. So be a free bird today and roam around. Places to visit around Leh is Shey Palace, Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery.

    Leh- Lamayuru – Leh

    Today we will explore Leh- Srinagar Highway towards Lamayuru. On our way we will pass through magnetic hills and stop at Pathar sahib Gurudwara . After having Tea Langer we will head towards Lamayuru. Its a beautiful tarmac drive.

    Located in the western region of Ladakh, amidst mountain backed badlands, is one of the most popular villages. The monastery is home to more than 150 monks and houses a rich collection of artefacts‘ wall paintings, thangas, statues, carpets and an impressive 11-headed, 1000 eyed image of Chenzing. After Lunch we will head back to Leh .

    Leh ‐ Nubra Valley

    From Leh we drive to Nubra Valley, the road to which passes through Khardung La Pass, which was once the highest motorable road in the world. Nubra valley, just south of Siachen glacier, separates the Ladakh & Karakoram ranges of Himalayas and is a high altitude desert with scant vegetation. Historically, this was an important trade centre with Central Asia & East Turkmenestan. In Hundar one can see people with startling blue eyes, auburn hair and rosy cheeks who according to local lore are descendents of a Greek tribe. Nubra is home to several 17th century Gompas including 132 year old Samstanling Gompa & Chamba Gompa. Diskit monastery located on a hill is the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra. Next to Hundar are several kilometers of sand dunes and one can enjoy a camel ride on the near extinct two humped Bactrian camels. Overnight stay at the campsite. Approximate driving day of 5 hours.

    Nubra Valley

    This day we will explore little more in Nubra valley. In the Morning visit Diksit Monastery. Diskit monastery located on a hill is the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra.

    Our campsite is simply beautiful. You can take a dip at adjoining stream in the warm afternoon or just relax ,enjoy your personal time at campsite. Go Out enjoy Dune driving, eat Local food and explore local culture!!

    If you are keen for more driving you can leave early morning to drive further for Turtuk, Last village near Pakistan border.

    Nubra- Pangong Tso

    Its time to Say bye to NUBRA Valley. Rather than taking a normal route we take a shorter and adventurous route to Pangong Tso. Today’s route is offbeat and 4x4 friendly. After crossing Agham, Shyok, Durbuk we will head towards Tangste check post. You will see very limited traffic on this route. Reach pangong by late evening .

    Pangong is a saline water lake on the Line of Actual Control (60% of the lake is under Chinese control) between India & China. Overnight stay will be at a campsite.

    Pangong Tso – Tsokar

    Today's Route is heavenly... We will start early and go to Tso Kar from Pangong Tso directly via remote and ever beautiful Changthang region. The drive between Pangong Tso and Tsokar is one of the most beautiful drives in whole Ladakh region. Tsokar is one of the most beautiful, calm and sacred high altitude salt lake in India.

    Reach Campsite by late evening and enjoy bonfire under the stars!!!

    Tso Kar –Jispa

    We will leave from Tso Kar at 7.00 am . After crossing More plains we will reach Pang. Take a short break at pang and start towards Sarchu. Climb down the Gatta Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends carved into the mountainside and then pass after crossing the Zanskar range we will reach Sarchu. Cross Baralacha La and reach Jispa by the evening. Enjoy your Hot water bath and relax!!!!

    Jispa-Manali

    After Breakfast we will leave for Manali. The adventure ends here!!! Back to Civilisation. Explore old Manali and famous cafes for Dinner. Its so good to eat a pizza after so many days.!!!

    The charges for Indian Nationals for participating in “Go Boundless Himalayan Drive” is 46000/- Per Person.
    Children till 5 years is complementary, 5-10 years- 25000/- 10-14 years 30000/- and above 14 years is treated as adult (5% GST Extra)

    The single room supplement payable in case a participant does not want accommodation on a twin sharing basis will be 40% extra.

    Buffet- Breakfast and Dinner with choice of Veg and Non Veg . At places you will be provided with packed breakfast. Lunch would be quick snacks like Maggi, Bread Omelet, Thupka, Noodles and Veg Thali are available at all the places. Few places like Jispa, Tso-kar, Tso-morriri, would serve very basis simple vegetarian food.

  • • You need to have your own vehicle. (Vehicle has to be registered on your/family name )
  • • Valid Driving License with comprehensive insurance coverage policy.
  • • All vehicles must be individually licensed / officially permitted for the road and comply with the legal requirements of cars used on public roads in India. It is compulsory for the vehicle to have a valid
  • • The charges specified are for each crew member in the participating vehicle and includes accommodation on twin sharing basis along with breakfast, packed refreshments and dinner at the specified halts and night halts as specified in the itinerary , inner line permits, local guides, medical assistance with oxygen and medical supplies, service crew.
  • • Participants may bring their drivers in their vehicles to accompany them on “Go Boundless Himalayan Drive” The charges would be extra. These charges include accommodation at night halts where drivers accommodation is not provided by the hotels, along with breakfast, packed refreshments and dinner at the specified halts and night halts, inner line permits.
  • • Maximum 4 Pax per car is permitted . Go Boundless Himalayan Drive # 8 is crossing through from offbeat and remote areas. There are no fuel pumps available from Nubra till Tandi on the way back. Go Boundless will make alternate arrangements to carry fuel in the back up vehicle but we also request all the participants to extra carry jerry cans with them.

  • • No Refund after 15th April 2018
  • • Cancellation of event by the organizers 100% refund.
  • • Cancellation by participant will have no refund
  • • Cancellation arises out of unseen natural circumstances no refund.
  • • In case of emergency at home/illness etc. 50% will be deducted and rest of the amount may be adjusted in the next trip.
  • • In case of rough weather, we have the full discretion, whether to go ahead with the trip/expedition or not. In case of cancellation due to rough weather no refund
  • • In case of Road Block to any destination, no refund and you have to pay extra for making alternate arrangements.
  • MEDICAL NOTES: -

  • High Altitude affects everyone in different ways and to a different extent. A young 25 year old who does regular exercise may be flat on his back at 16000ft and the man smiling down at him as he regains consciousness may be the fat, balding 45 year old on the seat next to him. When High Altitude Sickness hits you feel a dull headache, nausea, shortness of breath and complete lack of appetite. However there are a few things one can do to avoid, or to at least lessen the effects of High Altitude on your body.

  • • Asthmatic people are advised against coming for the event. However if you are only mildly so, you may consult your doctor.
  • • Kids get acclimatize much faster so don’t worry they are more fitter than you to join for this trip, but kids above 3 years of age is recommended .
  • • All age group people can join- You just need to be physically fit !!!

  • Go Boundless Himalayan Drive” will take the participants into altitudes above 15,000 feet and they should be familiar with the prevention, recognition, and treatment of high altitude sickness including shortness of breath, restlessness or sleeplessness, and headaches as well as other health dangers potentially arising from such high altitude.
